Paper Guidelines:

Object of the assignment:  To write a paper describing the life of your chosen scientist.  This paper should not include a description of their work; it should focus on their personal life, their awards, and other recognitions.  You should be writing about who they are, not what they did.

Guidelines:    Your paper should consist of two parts:  the main part of the paper and a references page.  The paper must be between 250 and 1000 words.  The paper must be double spaced.   References must cited as end notes according to the rules found in the ACS Style Guide.  Online sources about how to reference can be found here.  (Please see me with questions about references).  Electronic resources should be cited using the following method:

Author, F.M. Title of Page, publication date, URL http://www.webpage (date accessed)

NOTE:  the reference page is NOT included in the word count of the paper.

Submission:  You must submit both a hard (paper) copy AND an electronic copy of your paper.  The hard copy may be handed in to me in person, dropped off at my office, or placed in my mailbox in X-212.  The electronic copy must be submitted in the appropriate drop box in Cobra Learning, and must be formatted as a Web Page (.htm or .html) or as a Rich Text file (.rtf).
