COURSE INFORMATION
1. Required Texts: Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology, 8th edition, by Shier
Module Study Guides and Labs for BIO 111, by M. Postula and Rosetta Dalton
2. The following Parkland College General Education Objectives are covered in Bio 111:
Effective writing, reading, and listening; critical thinking in problem-solving; compute in quantitative terms; use technology to access and retrieve information.
3. Lecture / Lab attendance and participation are expected and required. Tardiness and unexcused absences will result in a deduction from your attendance and participation grade. You are responsible for all announcements made in class. You must be excused in order to make up work. The only way to be excused is to call your lecture instructor on or before the day you miss. *Due to scheduling problems, practicals can not be made up.
4. Quiz and practical due dates are listed in your syllabus. Labs will be due on the 1st Friday after your lab at 1:00 PM. NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENT. CHEATING WILL RESULT IN A GRADE OF “F” FOR THIS COURSE.
